Together with Trickum Middle School

Hey Neighbor!

Happy Tuesday and happy Easter week! I hope you and your family are soaking in this beautiful spring weather — because Gwinnett is absolutely buzzing right now.

We've got SO much happening this week that I had to split it into two editions. This one covers everything from today through Thursday. Then on Thursday I'll hit you with the full Easter weekend guide — egg hunts, sunrise services, live music, and more.

Let's get into it!

If you caught last Saturday’s episode of the This Is Gwinnett Show, you already know about this one — and if you didn’t, here’s your chance to get involved.

The Trickum Middle School Car Show is coming up on Saturday, April 18 and every dollar raised goes to Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. This event is now in its 5th year and it keeps getting bigger — show cars, craft vendors, food, raffle drawings, basket giveaways, live music, and trophies (People’s Choice, Principal’s Choice, and Student Choice).

The best part? It’s 100% free to attend.

Here’s how YOU can be a part of it:

  • Become a Sponsor — Local businesses and individuals can grab a sponsorship spot. Download the sponsor packet for full details.

  • Become a Vendor — Got handmade crafts or products? Set up a booth and sell to a packed, happy crowd.

  • Bring Your Show Car — Enter your vehicle, compete for trophies, and get raffle tickets the length of your car for just $20.

Fun fact: A lot of raffle winners end up donating their prizes right back to Relay for Life. That’s Gwinnett right there.

BONUS RESOURCE: FIND YOUR NEXT HIKE IN GWINNETT

Here's something I've been wanting to share for a while — Gwinnett County has an interactive Park Locator that makes it super easy to find hiking trails, parks, and outdoor spots near you. Perfect for planning a family weekend adventure, a morning hike, or just discovering a park you didn't know existed down the road.

Save that link. You'll use it more than you think.

That's a Wrap (For Now)!

This is just Part 1 of your Easter week guide. On Thursday, I'm sending you the full weekend edition — packed with egg hunts, Easter sunrise services, live concerts, comedy shows, and family fun all weekend long.

If this edition made you smile, do me a favor — forward it to one person who lives in Gwinnett. A neighbor, a coworker, a friend. That's how we keep growing this thing together.
