Hey neighbor,

Did you feel it this week too? The clocks fell back, and now it's dark by the time dinner hits the table.

Some people hate that. I really love it. Shorter days pull us inside, closer together, around the same table. That's the season we're stepping into.

And speaking of tables… a couple of weeks ago I asked you where Dinner Club should go next. You didn't just answer. You showed up. Reply after reply, you told me exactly where you want the next table.

That's my favorite part of this whole thing. This isn't me talking at you. It's us building something together, one neighbor at a time.

So today I get to tell you who won. Let's go! ↓

🎉 THE WINNER IS… DOWNTOWN BUFORD!

You voted, and Downtown Buford took it!

That means the next GwinnettBest Dinner Club is in Downtown Buford on Thursday, November 19, and sign-ups are open right now.

If you've never been, here's how it works. You get matched with a small table of neighbors you haven't met yet, you share a great meal in one of the most charming downtowns in the county, and you go home with a few new names in your phone.

No pressure at all. But if you've been waiting for a sign to finally come, this is it.

📅 THIS WEEK IN GWINNETT, CITY BY CITY (NOV 3–8)

Seven cities, seven reasons to get out of the house this week. Here are my favorites, straight from the official calendars.

📍 Grayson

Free Line Dancing

Tue, Nov 3 (today!) · 10–11 AM · Grayson Senior Center, 475 Grayson Pkwy · FREE

A happy, easy way to start a Tuesday. Why I love it: if you have a parent or grandparent who needs a reason to get out and meet people, this is it. Drive them over and stay for a song or two.

📍 Lawrenceville

Native American Heritage Month Celebration

Thu, Nov 5 · 6:30–8:30 PM · GJAC parking deck lawn, 75 Langley Dr

Hosted by Gwinnett County to honor the cultures and traditions of Tribal Nations. Registration is through the county page. Why I love it: this is the kind of night that teaches our kids something you can't get from a textbook.

📍 Norcross

Atlanta International Night Market

Source: Norcross site

Fri, Nov 6 (5–10 PM) & Sat, Nov 7 (2–10 PM) · Lillian Webb Park, Downtown Norcross

Food from all over the world, right in the heart of downtown Norcross. Why I love it: this is my pick for a family night out. Walk in hungry, let everybody choose a different booth, and share bites at the park.

📍 Snellville

Snellville Farmers' Market

Sat, Nov 7 · 9 AM–12 PM · The Grove at Towne Center

Why I love it: a slow Saturday morning, a cup of coffee, and real local growers. Grab what you need for Sunday dinner and say hi to the folks who grew it.

📍 Peachtree Corners

Game Day and Market

Sat, Nov 7 · 12–4 PM · The Town Green

Why I love it: football fans and early holiday shoppers can finally be in the same place at the same time. Throw on your team colors and bring the kids.

📍 Duluth

Good Word Brewing Presents: Mighty Fine Invitational & 9th Anniversary

Sat, Nov 7 · 1–5 PM · Duluth Town Green, 3142 Hill St NW · 21+, tickets required

Why I love it: a local brewery celebrating nine years in downtown Duluth. Get a sitter, grab a friend, and toast a Gwinnett business that keeps showing up.

📍 Sugar Hill

Sugar Hill Art Market

Sat, Nov 7 · 5–10 PM · The Promenade, 5039 W Broad St

Why I love it: this is my date night pick of the week. Stroll the booths after dark, find an early Christmas gift from a local artist, and grab dinner downtown.

🍽️ GUS' PICK OF THE WEEK: LITTLE BARN, DOWNTOWN LAWRENCEVILLE

You can't miss it. It's the little red barn just a block off the Square.

Source: Little Barn Site

Little Barn has been feeding Lawrenceville since January 1993. Big breakfast biscuits, chopped pork BBQ, brisket, homemade potato chips, and a Brunswick stew made from a secret family recipe. It's simple, it's hearty, and it's easy on the wallet when you're feeding the whole crew.

What to order: a chicken biscuit if you're there early, or a cup of that Brunswick stew at lunch.

Why I love it: this is the place I'd send a family that just moved to Gwinnett. Bring the kids on a Saturday morning, then walk the Square together after. That's a Lawrenceville morning done right.

📍 60 E Pike St, Lawrenceville · Breakfast and lunch, Tuesday–Saturday (closed Sunday and Monday) · littlebarn.com

📥 YOUR FULL NOVEMBER GWINNETT CALENDAR

This email only has room for my favorites. But Gwinnett has SO much happening this month.

So I put together an exhaustive list of every event I could find across the county for November. Every city, every weekend, all in one place. Print it, stick it on the fridge, and plan your month.

🙏 BEFORE YOU GO

The days are getting shorter, but the tables are getting fuller. That's what I love about this time of year.

Here's my challenge for you this week: pick one event on this list and bring someone with you.

A neighbor, a coworker, the new family down the street. Somebody has to set the table. Why not you?

Thanks for being here. Gwinnett is better because you're in it.
