Hey neighbor,
So... about yesterday morning. I promised you a video, and YouTube decided that it was the day to humble me.
The video didn't process correctly, which means you clicked and got a whole lot of nothing. My apologies — I'd blame the technology, but let's be honest, the technology never apologizes back.
Good news: it's fixed! Watch "What Do You Do in Gwinnett?" here
And while you're at it, don't forget this morning's poll: when you've had a rough day or a rough week, what do you do here in Gwinnett to shake it off?
A walk? A favorite restaurant? Just hit reply and tell me — I read every single response and reply personally. It's one of my favorite parts of this whole thing.
MY BONUS VIDEO AS A
“Hey, Here’s Someone Amazing You need to Know.”
And as a little thank-you for your patience, here's a bonus video: Watch "17 Years Running: Why Locals Can't Miss This Market"
I sat down with Mandy McManus at the Lilburn Farmers Market, and y'all — 17 years running, rain or shine, every single Friday, YES THAT MEANS TODAY, starting at 4 PM.
Around 50 rotating vendors (there's always something new), everything made or grown by the vendors themselves, summer peaches, hot Friday dinner from 4 to 7pm, and a program that doubles your EBT dollars for fruits and veggies.
I also got to meet Arthur from Woodbridge Farms — meeting the actual people growing your food is exactly what makes this market special. This one's worth the trip.
So: watch both videos, hit reply with your rough-day cure, and while you're at it — tell me your favorite local find or farmers market vendor. I might just feature it.
And thank you Mandy for what you’ve done and what you continue to do in the community fo Lilburn!
Your neighbor,
Gus
P.S. — Got a local event, hidden gem restaurant, or park you think I should feature? Hit reply and tell me. I'm always on the hunt for the next great find to share with the community.
